ACM SIGKDD Innovation, Service, and Rising Star Awards

ACM SIGKDD is calling for nominations for its 2026 Innovation Award, Service Award, and Rising Star Award to recognize outstanding technical and professional service contributions in knowledge discovery and data mining, and to promote early-career KDD researchers. Nominations are collected as a single PDF via email and evaluated by the SIGKDD Awards Committee. The Rising Star Award is based on work within the first five years after the PhD. The Awards Committee may decide on zero or one winner for each award.

Formal recognition through the ACM SIGKDD Innovation, Service, or Rising Star Award as determined by the Awards Committee.

Nominees can be anyone except the SIGKDD Executive Committee Chair and members of the SIGKDD Innovation/Service/Rising Star Awards Committee. For the Rising Star Award, nominees must have completed all PhD requirements no earlier than 2020-12-31, with parental leave and other extenuating circumstances accommodated.

Prepare a single PDF nomination package and email it to the Awards Committee Chair; include a proposed citation (up to 25 words), a detailed statement (≤500 words), a detailed CV for the nominee, and three or more supporting letters. Self-nominations are excluded. Receive confirmation email upon submission.
