The Math Hackathon is a global online competition for students to use mathematics to propose solutions to real-world problems aligned with the UN Sustainable Development goals. Participants may enter individually or in teams of up to four and have 72 hours to submit a solution via the organiser's web portal. The 2026 theme is Poverty Reduction and the event takes place online over a specified 72-hour period. Winners receive prizes and all completers receive a certificate.
Leistungen & Finanzierung
Winner receives a $100 Amazon gift card; certificates for all competitors who complete the hackathon; additional prizes for the top 10.
Teilnahmevoraussetzungen
Open to students worldwide who are between the ages of 11 and 17 and enrolled full time in school (grades 6-12).

Register on the organiser's site, receive an email with a form to indicate individual or team participation and teammate details, and submit solutions via the organiser's web math portal during the event.
