Legal Foundation of Washington Race Equity Grants 2026

Grants program offering multiyear funding to advance racial justice in civil legal aid. The Race Equity Grants are awarded to support community- and client-centered approaches and to elevate voices most impacted by racism and poverty. Fifteen grants of $50,000 each will be awarded, with two-year terms.

Multiyear grant funding to support civil legal aid work and leadership development in impacted communities

Civil legal aid providers or organizations in partnership with civil legal aid providers are eligible to apply. Proposals from nonprofits, Tribal entities, and fiscally sponsored programs are welcome. If you have previously received a Race Equity Grant, you may apply if your final report has been submitted or if your grant will conclude by June 30, 2026.

Grant applications are submitted via the Legal Foundation of Washington's grant portal; applications are due by 11:59 PM PST on April 15, 2026.
