National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa)

An annual national scientific competition in which middle and high school students submit individual scientific projects in various science and engineering fields. Projects are evaluated electronically and in-person by academics and specialists through staged phases including training, electronic judging, central exhibitions and a national science and engineering fair. Top projects may qualify for higher stages and international participation such as the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). The competition provides guidance materials, judging feedback and competitive prizes.

Cash or in-kind prizes announced at the Ebdaa Science and Engineering Fair; qualification opportunities for national exhibitions and potential international participation (e.g. ISEF).

Open to general education students in middle and high school; projects must be individual and each student may submit only one project. Participants must complete required registration stages and mandatory forms available in the Olympiad Library.

Register personal and project information through Mawhiba’s registration system, complete mandatory forms from the Olympiad Library, and follow staged phases including training, electronic arbitration and exhibition attendance.
