AWF 2026 Young Conservation Heroes Scholarship for young Kenyans

The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), in partnership with the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK), invites applicants for the 2026 Young Conservation Heroes Scholarship. The scholarship targets selected former Grade 9 learners from specified counties near the Tsavo landscape and is part of the four-year Young Conservation Heroes Project to build conservation capacity among learners.

Open to five students who are former Grade 9 learners from the 137 primary schools supported by the Young Conservation Heroes Project across the specified counties in Kenya.

Applicants must complete a printable application form and submit two handwritten essays outlining a community development or conservation project, along with a summary of their volunteer and leadership experience, with applications submitted to the designated locations indicated in the form.
