ETH4D Doctoral Mentorship Grants 2026

The ETH4D Doctoral Mentorship Grants 2026 provide mentorship and a research stay for doctoral candidates and master’s students from least-developed and low- to lower-middle-income countries. The mentorship lasts one year and includes regular meetings with an ETH professor or senior researcher, plus a 1-3 month research stay at ETH Zurich. The grant covers expenses up to a maximum of 10,000 CHF and includes travel, accommodation, living costs, visa fees, and other related costs.

Eligible mentees are doctoral candidates and master’s students who are registered at a university or research institute in any country listed in the current DAC-list of ODA recipients, except from upper-middle-income countries.

Submit the completed electronic application form, a detailed budget, letters of support, and other required documents as specified by ETH4D.
