CIFAR Horizon Networks 2026: International Research Funding Opportunity for Early- and Mid-Career Researchers

Applications are open for the CIFAR Horizon Networks 2026, an international research funding opportunity designed to support early- and mid-career researchers in building interdisciplinary and global research collaborations. The programme provides selected research teams with collaborative funding, professional development opportunities, international networking, and logistical support over a three-year period. Horizon Networks are led by early- to mid-career researchers and aim to foster international collaboration across disciplines.

Horizon Networks are led by emerging research leaders and require co-leadership by researchers who are alumni of CIFAR’s early-career leadership programmes; networks may include up to eight additional early- to mid-career faculty members from diverse institutions and disciplines.

Submit proposals under one of the thematic streams; applications undergo multi-stage review with eligibility screening and reciprocal peer review.
