Danish Institute for Human Rights Global Visiting Researcher Programme 2026

The Danish Institute for Human Rights Global Visiting Researcher Programme 2026 is a fully funded research opportunity for scholars, primarily based in the Global South, to work at Denmark’s national human rights institution. Selected researchers will collaborate on high-impact global human rights research, benefit from academic mentorship, and have access to international networks. The programme supports international exchange and the production of research outputs.

Research stipend/honorarium, travel costs to and from Copenhagen, visa support and costs, accommodation in Copenhagen, academic mentorship and institutional support, access to policy and international research networks, opportunity to publish policy briefs, working papers, or academic articles

Applicants should be researchers affiliated with an academic institution and based in the Global South or other underrepresented regions, with a project proposal aligned to the programme themes.
