National Young Adult Leadership Council Opens Applications for 2026 Cohorts

The National Young Adult Leadership Council (NYALC) invites applications for its 2026 leadership development cohorts. The program supports young refugees and asylees to develop leadership skills through a structured term that includes virtual trainings, mentorship, and a community projects component, with an in-person gathering in Washington, D.C. during the term.

Leadership development trainings, personalized mentorship, opportunities to work on community projects, writing and speaking platforms, access to alumni network.

Eligible applicants must be between 18 and 24 years old and have lived in the United States for less than five years at the time of application.

Applications are submitted through the program website; includes eligibility questions, biographical information, narrative questions, resume, and letter of recommendation.
