SSRC APDD Research Policy Fellowship (RPF) 2026

The SSRC APDD Research Policy Fellowship (RPF) provides a residency in an African policy institution for scholars who have previously received an APDD Individual Research Fellowship. Fellows work on policy-related research in peacebuilding, security, and development, bridging research and policy practice and producing policy-focused outputs during the fellowship period.

Residency at the host institution for at least four of the six fellowship months, up to $12,000, and exposure to policy/practitioner environments to inform policy engagement and practice.

Applicants must be former African APDD Individual Research Fellows (2021–2025) and be African citizens resident in Africa; the competition is open to African academics, policy analysts and practitioners.
