Edinburgh Online Mastercard Scholarship

The University of Edinburgh Online Mastercard Scholarship provides online postgraduate study opportunities for selected African students, covering three years for online Masters and two years for online Postgraduate Diploma. It supports scholars who have overcome barriers to education and show leadership potential, with additional climate leadership and support elements as part of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Edinburgh.

Full tuition coverage, monthly stipend, laptop, access to online workshops and climate leadership activities, online coordinator support.

Applicants must be residents and citizens (or have refugee status) in Sub-Saharan Africa, have an undergraduate degree, and be under 36 as of 1 September 2026; they should also demonstrate leadership and potential to contribute to climate-related impact.

Apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program online, then apply for the eligible online degree program; after an offer, complete the Mastercard Foundation scholarship application.
