Gates Cambridge Scholarship Programme 2026/2027

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship Programme offers full-cost scholarships to outstanding applicants from countries outside the United Kingdom to pursue a postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. The award covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge and provides discretionary funding for additional needs. The programme accepts multiple postgraduate pathways and includes core and discretionary components.

Full cost of study at Cambridge (fees and maintenance), economy airfares, visa costs, and discretionary funding opportunities including academic development funding, dependent children allowance, fieldwork funding, maternity/paternity funding, and hardship funding.

Applicants must be a citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom and applying to pursue one of the eligible postgraduate courses at the University of Cambridge (PhD, MLitt, or a one-year postgraduate course).

Submit an application for admission and funding via the University of Cambridge Graduate Application Portal, including the Gates Cambridge portion of the funding section.
