GROW Scholarship – Global Research Opportunities for the South (DAAD) 2026

The GROW programme (Global Research Opportunities for the South) offers funded research stays in Germany for doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, university teachers, and established academics from OECD DAC-listed countries. It provides monthly stipends, health and liability insurance, and travel allowances for research stays ranging from one to six months, supporting work addresses related to sustainable development goals. The funding is intended to strengthen research capacity and foster South–North collaboration.

Open to doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, university teachers, and established academics from OECD DAC list countries, primarily from Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia, who have a home institution at the time of application.
