The Advokat Thorvald Meyer and Elsa Margrethe Meyer Music Grant is a scholarship supporting students at the Norwegian Academy of Music, other music students and young artists for further education. Supported disciplines include violin, piano and singing. Grants are awarded to cover a study stay of reasonable duration at a higher music institution or with an acknowledged music authority, domestically or abroad. The same person may receive the grant up to three times and awards are decided by a committee and presented at a ceremony at the Norwegian Academy of Music.

Eligible applicants include students at the Norwegian Academy of Music, other music students and young artists; supported fields listed are violin, piano and singing. Awards are decided following an audition before a committee composed of the Academy's rector, the school's principal teacher in the relevant field and an external music authority.
