Legal Empowerment Fund (LEF) Grants 2025

Grants are available to grassroots organizations in the Caribbean to support efforts that use legal empowerment to address climate change, secure land rights, and protect communities from environmental harm. The program aims to advance grassroots justice advocates who are rooted in their communities and center historically excluded groups.

Financial grants (USD 10,000–30,000) to support grassroots legal empowerment and environmental justice initiatives in the Caribbean.

Open to grassroots organizations in Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago; organizations should use legal empowerment to support land and environmental justice and be rooted in their communities.

Applications can be completed in English, French or Spanish via the LEF Grants portal.
