SYL climate network

The SYL climate network is a voluntary platform for student-union actors and students to participate in climate advocacy work organized by the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL). Members develop climate lobbying skills, maintain a data bank on student union climate work, and may represent SYL at events and publish position papers. The network operates mainly remotely with a term from August 2025 to July 2026 and includes opportunities to chair meetings.

Applicants must be nominated by their student union; up to three members can be nominated from each union. Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome.

Nominations are submitted by each student union; applicants must include a motivation letter describing their interest and learning goals, and whether they would like to chair the network.
