The NIH Clinical Electives Program (CEP) offers short-term, clinically oriented rotations at the NIH Clinical Center intended to train physician-scientists and clinician-investigators. Rotations typically last 4 to 12 weeks and include core clerkship clinical experiences. The program is focused on students strongly interested in research-oriented careers in academic medicine and the care of patients enrolled in human subjects research protocols.

Requisitos

Senior-level allopathic or osteopathic medical students enrolled in LCME- or AOA-accredited programs, and dental students enrolled in CODA-accredited dental programs, who have completed core clerkships (internal medicine, pediatrics and surgery) may apply. Only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply at this time.

Applicants may apply through AAMC VSLO or via the NIH CEP Application Portal and must submit required documents including a cover letter, dean's letter (for CEP portal), reference letter, transcript, and clinical skill verification where applicable.
