6th Global Economic Policy Workshop: The Economics of Geopolitical Fragmentation

The 6th Global Economic Policy Workshop brings together researchers to discuss the economic implications of geopolitical fragmentation, including topics such as geopolitical risk, trade and investment fragmentation, technological decoupling, sanctions, global supply chains, and international financial system fragmentation. It will take place on 25–26 September 2026 at the Goethe Institut in Budapest, Hungary. Selected papers presented at the workshop will be considered for a special issue of the International Journal of Finance and Economics. The workshop is organised by the Global Economic Policy Group in collaboration with the University of Westminster, FernUniversität in Hagen, and the Goethe-Institut.

Attendance without a registration fee; selected papers will be considered for a special issue of the International Journal of Finance and Economics.

Researchers working on the economic implications of geopolitical fragmentation; the workshop welcomes theoretical, empirical and policy-oriented contributions.
