TWAS Fellowships for African Scientists (Sandwich and Full) are competitively awarded fellowships enabling African PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to conduct research at host institutions in the developing and developed world. Multiple fellowship schemes (e.g. TWAS-CSIR, TWAS-ICCBS, TWAS-CNPq) support research in fields including Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mathematics and Physics. The fellowships are cohort-style awards that include financial support for research stays. They accept applicants from a wide range of African countries at the PhD and postdoctoral levels.

Open to applicants from listed African countries who are enrolled at the PhD or postdoctoral level.
