Artistic Research – Wenn Kunst und Wissenschaft sich begegnen

Artistic Research – Wenn Kunst und Wissenschaft sich begegnen is a short workshop hosted by SFB 1225 ISOQUANT at Universität Heidelberg that introduces fundamentals and methods of artistic research. The workshop combines scientific inquiry with performative, bodily and experimental practices to explore how observation, experiment and intuition open new perspectives on research questions. The series of sessions uses the SFB 1225 research environment as an experimental field for artistic investigations and practical exercises. Participants will develop questions, experiment with artistic research methods and present sketches and materials at the end of the course.

Free participation; practical instruction in artistic research methods; final sharing session with refreshments (Sekt and snacks).

All interested persons are invited; artistic prior knowledge is not required. Participants should be curious about experimental working methods and the dialogue between art and science.
