The NSF Economics Program supports research to improve understanding of economic processes and institutions in the U.S. and globally. It funds individual and multi-investigator research projects, doctoral dissertation research improvement grants (DDRIG), conferences, symposia, experimental research, data collection and dissemination, instrumentation, and research experiences for undergraduates. The program places high priority on interdisciplinary research and broadening participation.

Proposals submitted according to NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) via Grants.gov/Research.gov; DDRIG proposals are submitted by a faculty member on behalf of the graduate student.
