The Max-Planck-Humboldt-Forschungspreis is an annual research prize jointly awarded by the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft and the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung. It is endowed with €1.5 million to enable German universities and research organisations to recruit an outstanding researcher from abroad to carry out an innovative research project in Germany. In addition, the laureate receives a personal prize of €80,000 in recognition of their overall achievements. The prize is awarded in alternating years across the three sections of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft and is based on nominations.

Requisitos

Researchers from abroad who are up to 15 years after their doctorate and who demonstrate outstanding future potential and an innovative research project; nominations only (no self-applications).

Solicitud

Candidates are identified and nominated by the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft's sections (nominating committees) and nominations are forwarded to the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung; self-applications are not possible.
