The Georg-Simon-Ohm-Preis is an annual award of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft (DPG) that recognises an outstanding, recently completed thesis by a student of physical engineering or a related subject at a University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in Germany. The award consists of a certificate with citation and a monetary prize of 2,500 Euro. The laureate is preferably presented at a DPG conference and is expected to give a talk at an appropriate DPG meeting.

Requisitos

Students or graduates (Studierende oder Absolventen) of a University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in the Federal Republic of Germany who have completed an excellent, recently finished thesis in physical engineering or a related field. Self-nominations are not permitted; nominations must include justification, a short laudation, CV, publication list if applicable, and proposer suggestions.

Solicitud

Nominations are submitted (by proposers, not by the candidate) to the DPG office and forwarded to the prize committee; required documents include a one- to two-page justification, a short laudation, CV, publication list if applicable, and suggested referees. Self-nominations are not allowed.
