Canada Cultural Spaces Fund

The Canada Cultural Spaces Fund (CCSF) provides financial assistance to improve physical conditions for arts, heritage, culture and creative innovation. It supports renovation projects and the acquisition of specialized equipment related to arts and heritage cultural spaces and museum collections and displays. The program is intended for organizations and public bodies that deliver, preserve or present cultural activities and heritage. The CCSF gives special consideration to applications from rural or remote areas, Indigenous and underrepresented or equity-seeking communities.

Financial assistance for eligible project expenses to improve cultural spaces, including renovation projects and acquisition of specialized equipment related to arts and heritage cultural spaces, museum collections and heritage displays.

Eligible applicants include not-for-profit arts and/or heritage organizations incorporated under Canadian federal or provincial/territorial legislation with over two years of activity; provincial/territorial governments, municipal administrations and their agencies (including post-secondary institutions) with a demonstrated commitment to arts or heritage activities; and Indigenous governing bodies or their agencies with demonstrated commitment to artistic or heritage activities. Ineligible applicants include federal departments/agencies, unincorporated organizations, for-profit entities and individuals.
