The U.S. Embassy in Latvia Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA) 2026 is a fully funded fellowship for approximately 160 secondary school teachers from multiple regions. The program includes a six-week academic experience hosted at U.S. universities, a practicum in a secondary school, seminars on teaching methods and curriculum development, and trips to U.S. cultural sites, with extensive support and funding provided for participants.

J-1 visa support, pre-departure orientation, round-trip airfare, housing and meals, accident and sickness coverage, internship transportation, book/professional development allowance, opening/closing orientation and cultural site visits.
Requisitos
Be secondary-level teachers with at least a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent, full-time teachers with three or more years of classroom experience in specified subjects; be citizens of Latvia; have English proficiency; commit to teaching for at least five years after completion.
Solicitud
Submit an application through the TEA program portal; finalists are interviewed in April 2025.
