Elizabeth Gray Scholarship

The Elizabeth Gray Scholarship is an endowed scholarship at the University of Melbourne for students commencing the Juris Doctor who are financially disadvantaged and from Indigenous Australian or refugee backgrounds. The award supports domestic students and selection is based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need. The scholarship provides partial funding to assist with study costs. A scholarship award of up to AUD 15,000 to assist with study costs

Applicants must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and be accepted as such by their community, have applied for the Juris Doctor through Graduate Access Melbourne under the 'Disadvantaged socio-economic circumstances' category and submitted the Disadvantaged Socio-economic Circumstances Supplementary Form, meet Graduate Access Melbourne entry requirements for the Juris Doctor, and be domestic students. Selection is based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need.

Applicants who have applied for admission for commencement in the award year via Graduate Access Melbourne are automatically considered; apply through the official University of Melbourne scholarship application process and submit required supporting documents.
