Leon Levy Scholarships in Neuroscience 2027

The Leon Levy Scholarships in Neuroscience (LLSN) is a three-year funded postdoctoral scholarship in neuroscience for researchers working in New York City. It supports postdoctoral researchers to develop independent research and broaden professional skills, including grant writing and project management, while providing mentorship and a structured network through The New York Academy of Sciences.

Annual stipend at 125% of NIH postdoctoral rate (varies by year); fringe benefits; US$2,000 technology/travel allowance; annual care-cost supplement up to US$10,000; indirect institutional support; 3-year NYAS membership; structured mentorship; access to leadership and skills-building workshops; access to a network of scholars.

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and hold a full-time postdoctoral position at an accredited institution located in New York City's five boroughs, with support from a proposed Research Advisor; applicants must have no more than three years of cumulative postdoctoral experience and be able to meet certain U.S. immigration/nationality criteria at appointment.
