City of Toronto Black-Led Climate Action Grants

The City of Toronto Black-Led Climate Action Grants provide project funding to empower Black communities to participate in and lead local climate action. The programme offers tiered grants for grassroots groups, registered not-for-profits, and collaborative projects, and aligns with the TransformTO Net Zero Strategy and the Toronto Action Plan to Confront Anti-Black Racism. Funding amounts vary by applicant type and project scale.

Project grants of up to $10,000 for grassroots groups, up to $25,000 for registered not-for-profits, and up to $50,000 for one collaborative project annually.

Applicants must meet B3 requirements: Black-led, Black-serving, Black-mandated. Grassroots groups require a minimum of three members and may apply via a trustee or partner organization.
