UONGOZI Institute Youth Leadership Competition 2025

Applications are open for the UONGOZI Institute Youth Leadership Competition 2025, a component of the African Leadership Forum. African citizens aged 18-25 are invited to write about leadership as it relates to a theme tied to the ALF, with the 2025 theme focused on realizing sustainable development goals in Africa: progress and way forward. Prizes include a grand prize of USD 2,000, poster presentation at the ALF, and travel support for winners residing outside Uganda, with further details on the award ceremony during the ALF Gala Dinner.

Prize money for the overall winner, travel and accommodation support for international winners, posters showcased at the ALF, and the winner reads their essay at the ALF Gala Dinner.

Open to all African citizens between the age of 18 and 25. Essays must be 500-700 words and submitted as a Word document with an originality statement.
