Anima 2027

Anima 2027 is the Brussels Animation Film Festival's call for entries for its 46th edition. It accepts animated films from around the world across multiple competition categories, including international professional, international student, and national short films. The winner of the Grand Prix will be automatically included on the Academy Award longlist for Best Animated Short Film, and selected British shorts may be eligible for the BAFTA Award for Best Short Animation.

Recognition within an international festival and potential Oscar/BAFTA eligibility through category outcomes.

Films completed after June 2025 in the listed competition categories are eligible.

Submit film entries through the festival's submission process (no entry fee).
