Peter J Jones Scholarship for Chemical Engineering

The Peter J Jones Scholarship for Chemical Engineering is an undergraduate and honours scholarship at The University of Queensland for students intending to major or specialise in chemical engineering. It provides financial assistance for students experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship was established in 2019 and is supported by an endowed gift from Peter and Elizabeth Jones.

At least $4,500 each year for up to two years.

Domestic students enrolled full-time in an approved program who intend to major/specialise in Chemical Engineering, completed Year 12 in 2025 or 2026, and do not hold a scholarship considered similar by the Head of School. Approved programs include Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering or an engineering dual program.

Apply using the online application form and submit a cover letter, resume, Year 12 report or equivalent, ATAR certificate or equivalent, and evidence of financial hardship; shortlisted applicants may be interviewed.
