Mo Ibrahim Foundation Scholarship 2026/2027

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation Scholarship 2026/2027 is a scholarship award established at SOAS to support future leaders committed to Africa’s development. The scholarship provides a substantial financial package and is targeted at applicants who are ordinarily resident in Africa and demonstrate an interest in governance and development in Africa.

Tuition coverage (via deduction from the total award) and a maintenance stipend paid to the student.

Applicants must be new admissions starting in September 2026, hold an overseas fee status, have a minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree, and hold an unconditional offer by the time the scholarship panel meets. The scholarship does not cover pre-sessional programmes.
