L’Oréal–UNESCO–AMC Prize and Fellowships for Women in Science 2026

The L’Oréal–UNESCO–AMC Prize and Fellowships for Women in Science 2026 recognise and support Mexican women scientists. The programme awards three prizes to established researchers for outstanding scientific and technological contributions developed in Mexico, and annually awards five postdoctoral fellowships to advance research projects at Mexican universities or recognised research institutions. Eligible activities cover areas in natural sciences, engineering and exact sciences. Applications and supporting documents are submitted electronically through the AMC registration portal.

Monetary prizes (MXN $250,000 each for three awardees) and postdoctoral research fellowships to support research at Mexican institutions.

There are two distinctions: (1) Prize for consolidated female researchers: candidates must be Mexican female researchers, older than 50 years, with at least 15 years of seniority in Mexican institutions and contracted as researchers in an accredited Mexican institution. (2) Postdoctoral Fellowships: directed to young Mexican female scientists holding a postdoctoral fellowship or a contractual relation as researchers in an accredited Mexican institution to carry out advanced scientific research.
