science x media Tandems

science x media Tandems funds paired projects between a life-sciences professional from Berlin institutions and a media professional to improve science communication. Each tandem receives support to work jointly on a time-limited, flexibly designed project that can emphasize reflection on science communication or the production of innovative media outputs. The funding primarily provides (partial) release time for participants and secondarily material resources to carry out the project.

The programme is open to scientists of Charité (including the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité and Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité) and scientists of the Max Delbrück Center (MDC), regardless of career stage or prior science-communication experience. Media professionals of any experience, background, employment status and current location are also eligible; freelance media partners should name a stakeholder media that can provide an appropriate audience and ideally supply a letter of intent.
