Prof. Dr. Carlos Hooft Prize for the Promotion of Pediatrics

The Prof. Dr. Carlos Hooft Prize for the Promotion of Pediatrics is a research prize awarded for a scientific dissertation or a bundle of publications in clinical or experimental pediatric research. It is open to an individual researcher or two collaborating researchers, who must be physicians and whose work is written in Dutch or English. The prize awards a monetary amount to promote pediatric research and has eligibility conditions regarding prior prize submissions and membership of royal academies.

Cash prize of 2,500 euro.

An individual researcher or two collaborating researchers may apply; the candidate(s) must be physicians. Preference is given to young researchers who continue their scientific work personally. Candidates must not have applied for an Academy prize in the 12 months prior to the deadline, must not be previous laureates of Academy prizes (categories 1–3), and must not be members of a Royal Academy of Belgium. Works must be in Dutch or English and may be a thesis or a set of publications.
