Fulbright–University of Turku Graduate Award

The Fulbright–University of Turku Graduate Award is a Fulbright Finland Foundation-funded grant for U.S. citizens to pursue Master's or doctoral degree studies at the University of Turku. The award provides a monthly grant, travel support, and additional allowances and may include tuition scholarships for Master's students. The grantee is also eligible for supplemental benefits such as a residence permit allowance, accident and sickness coverage, and participation in a subsidized Finnish summer school.

Monthly stipend, travel award, residence permit allowance, supplemental accident and sickness coverage, possible tuition scholarship for first year (Master's), eligibility for subsidized Finnish summer school, access to alumni network, opportunities to apply for additional funding (e.g., Lois Roth Foundation).

Available to U.S. citizens holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree who are seeking admission or admitted to University of Turku Master's or doctoral degree programs. Academically talented graduating seniors and certain young researchers/post-docs who have not yet received their doctorate by the program deadline may also be eligible.

Dual application: submit a Fulbright U.S. Student Program application (Fulbright competition) and apply separately for admission to the University of Turku following the university's admission procedures and deadlines. No letter of affiliation is required for Master's program Fulbright applications; final selection is made by Fulbright Finland Foundation.
