Premi de Qualitat Docent en Química (Societat Catalana de Química)

The Premi de Qualitat Docent en Química is an award established in 2021 to recognise excellence in pre-university chemistry teaching. It is aimed at professionals who teach chemistry at the pre-university level or who develop their professional activity in the Catalan-language cultural territories. Winners receive a diploma and a physical award and are asked to prepare a short video about their teaching merits and later serve on the prize jury for subsequent editions.

Diploma and a physical award (guardó); winners must prepare an approximately five-minute video and participate in future juries on proposal of the SCQ.

Candidates must be members of the Societat Catalana de Química (SCQ) or carry out their professional activity in the Catalan-language cultural territories. Nominations must be submitted by an SCQ member; self-nomination by SCQ members is permitted.

Candidatures are submitted electronically via the IEC online form with PDF attachments: a statement of merits (max 2 pages), an abbreviated CV (max 4 pages) and optionally a documented portfolio. The electronic submission receipt must be signed and sent to premis@iec.cat. Nominations must be presented by an SCQ member; self-nominations by SCQ members are allowed.
