Karl Lohmann Prize

The Karl Lohmann Prize is a sponsor prize in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology awarded by the Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie e. V. It recognises an outstanding PhD thesis completed at a German university or university of applied sciences within the two years prior to the award ceremony. The prize carries a monetary endowment and recipients are required to accept the prize in person and give a short lecture. The award is presented on the occasion of the Mosbach Kolloquia in odd-numbered years.

Monetary prize of €1,500; recipients must attend the ceremony in person and deliver a short lecture.

Outstanding PhD thesis at a German university or university of applied sciences completed within the two years prior to the award ceremony; proposals or self-applications are permitted.
