Access City Award 2025

The Access City Award recognizes EU cities that have prioritised accessibility for persons with disabilities. It is organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the European Disability Forum, with a focus on measures across built environment, transport, information and communication, and public facilities and services. The winner and runners-up receive monetary prizes, and there is also a Special Mention in accessible sports infrastructure.

Monetary prizes for winners: 1st place EUR 150,000; 2nd place EUR 120,000; 3rd place EUR 80,000; potential Special Mentions for exceptional work in accessibility.

Open to all EU cities with populations over 50,000, or urban areas of two or more towns totaling over 50,000 inhabitants in EU member states with fewer than two such cities.
