UNDP Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Specialist

The Disaster Risk Reduction & Resilience Specialist position is based in Nairobi and supports targeted countries in Africa by assisting in the implementation of project activities and coordinating with UNDP COs and regional teams. The role includes technical inputs for project design and implementation, field support, and collaboration with partners such as the EU and UNDP to advance disaster risk reduction and resilience efforts.

Paid position

Advanced university degree in Urban Studies and Planning, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Disaster Management, or a related field, or a first-level degree with additional qualifying experience; minimum 5 years (with Master’s) or 7 years (with Bachelor’s) of relevant work in disaster risk reduction, resilience, or climate adaptation.
