International Youth STEAM Education Competition (Macao) 2026

A regional STEAM competition for young learners featuring categories in unplugged programming, IoT and AI where participants design, program and demonstrate technological solutions. The event is organized as the Macao regional stage of the International Youth STEAM Education Competition and includes briefing sessions, teacher workshops, preliminary submissions, finals and an award ceremony. Top performers in Macao may be recommended to represent Macao in international events such as the micro:bit World Championship and the do your:bit Global Challenge and may be incorporated into Greater Bay Area rankings. The competition covers divisions from kindergarten through secondary school.

Finalist teams and top performers receive awards and may be invited or recommended to represent Macao in Greater Bay Area finals and international competitions (e.g. micro:bit World Championship, do your:bit Global Challenge); participants take part in workshops and an award ceremony.

Divisions are offered for Kindergarten, Junior Primary, Senior Primary and Secondary (including a Special Division); designed for school-aged participants/teams in these divisions.
