Información

A clinical research grant programme that enables clinically active cancer researchers to spend 50–70% of their time on cancer research for a six-year period while maintaining remaining hours for clinical work. There are separate Junior and Senior Clinical Investigator Awards with different eligibility windows since doctoral degree. Research funded under the award must be conducted in Sweden. From 2026 eligible applicants for the Junior award may also apply for an additional operating grant as part of the application.

Beneficios

Protected research time (50–70% for six years) and eligibility to apply for an additional operating grant for Junior award applicants (entry-level project grant amount, currently 1 million SEK per year) during the first three years of the grant period.

Requisitos

Clinically active, postdoctoral cancer researchers of various clinical professions (for example doctors, hospital physicists, laboratory engineers, psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists) who have been awarded their doctorate before the application deadline; Junior applicants must have been awarded their doctorate 2016-07-01 or later and Senior applicants 2008-07-01 or later, with specified rules for eligible deductible time.

Solicitud

Applications are submitted via the Swedish Cancer Society's digitised application system Fenix using BankID and Swedish social security numbers; the additional operating grant is applied for as part of the position application.
