National Science Olympiad

The National Science Olympiad is a single-round academic competition for Grade 10 and 11 learners offering separate papers in Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. Each paper is 3 hours long, consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, and is available in English and Afrikaans. Papers are written at school (either pen-and-paper or online) and prizes are awarded to top national and provincial winners. Educators register learners via an online registration platform.

Only learners in grade 10 and 11 may enter.
