An annual interdisciplinary summer school focused on biodiversity and the intersection of science and policy, bringing together researchers, post-graduate students and early-career professionals. The 2026 programme, titled 'Biodiversity and society: transforming science and policy', combines lectures, field trips, group work and discussion sessions. It takes place in Peyresq, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France, and addresses socio-ecological systems, stakeholder engagement and new approaches in nature conservation. The programme is organised by the Alternet network with support from Biodiversa+.
Beneficios y financiación
Full attendance including accommodation, meals, refreshments, field trips; local transport between Annot and Peyresq covered; some support grants available to waive part or all of the student contribution.
Requisitos
Open to PhD and early career researchers, post-graduate students and early-career professionals from environmental and social science fields with an interest in sustainability science; professionals in relevant fields may also apply.
