MIT Water, Food & Agriculture Innovation Prize 2026

The MIT Water, Food & Agriculture Innovation Prize is an annual competition organized by MIT Water Club and MIT Food & Agriculture Club. It gathers early-stage, student-led startups from across the US and awards $50K+ in innovation grants to ventures driving sustainable water, food, and agricultural solutions. Participants prepare a business plan and final presentation, culminating in a Final Pitch Night to a panel of judges.

Over $50K in prize money, dynamic industry leaders, networking opportunities, and mentorship resources.

At least one leader of the startup team must be a U.S.-based student. The startup team must have received less than $100,000 in funding before applying to the Prize.

Submit an application and develop a business plan; finalists present at Final Pitch Night to a panel of judges.
