UNESCO/The People’s Republic of China – The Great Wall Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme 2026-2027

The UNESCO/The People’s Republic of China – The Great Wall Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme 2026-2027 offers fellowships for advanced studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, to promote capacity building and international exchanges in education, culture, science and technology. The programme is open to candidates from a broad set of developing countries and regions and may include a one-year visiting scholar option or master’s/doctoral degree study, with study conducted in English or Chinese. Tenable at selected Chinese universities, the fellowships aim to support degree study or individual research under supervisor guidance.

Fellowships for advanced studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in various fields; study at selected Chinese universities; instruction in English or Chinese; supervision and guidance for research or degree programmes.

Candidates must be nationals of invited developing member states and meet age, language and academic qualifications for the chosen programme; must be in good health.
