NCWorks Workforce Pell Grant Program Opens Applications for Eligible Short-Term Workforce Training Providers in North Carolina

The NCWorks Commission, in partnership with the Governor and the North Carolina Department of Commerce, has opened applications for eligible training providers to participate in the Workforce Pell Grant Program. The program expands federal Pell Grant funding to students enrolled in approved short-term workforce training programs and aims to strengthen North Carolina’s pipeline of skilled workers. It supports institutions in offering career-focused education that leads to industry credentials and employment opportunities.

Institutions review Workforce Pell requirements, complete the Eligible Training Provider (ETP) application, submit required documentation, and await state and federal approvals.
