Fully Funded Postdoctoral Fellowships in Japan for FY2026

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) invites international researchers to apply for FY2026 Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan. The program supports collaborative research with Japanese hosts in universities and research institutions, with opportunities available in both Standard and Short-term (PE) categories.

Roundtrip airfare, monthly maintenance allowance, arrival allowance (Standard), overseas travel insurance, research support allowance (through host).

Researchers of any nationality who have obtained a PhD within the past six years.

Applications must be submitted by a host researcher in Japan via the head of their university or institution through the JSPS Electronic Application System; applicants and hosts coordinate to complete required forms and documents.
