Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP)

The Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) is a PhD degree program jointly organized by Academia Sinica and top national research universities in Taiwan. It provides an all-English, research-oriented environment and offers thirteen sub-programs for study abroad applicants. The program includes a scholarship with a stipend and waives tuition, covering selected candidates for their doctoral studies.

Stipend of around NT$40,000/month; no tuition fee; potential extension for a second year; English-language, research-focused environment.

Applicants must be foreign nationals (not from China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong) who have completed a bachelor’s degree, and if applicable a master’s degree, with good academic standing and English proficiency.
