Afya Bora Global Health Fellowships

Afya Bora Global Health Fellowships provide a one-year leadership-focused training program for health professionals with both didactic modules and an attachment-site assignment in African health organizations. The program brings together African and U.S. trainees, including nurses and physicians, to build leadership capacity in global health. The cohort typically includes around 20 fellows per year.

airfare, monthly stipend, evacuation insurance, accommodations and per diem, housing allowance, visa reimbursement, NIH loan repayment support for some applicants, and reimbursement for approved fellowship activities.

Applicants must be citizens of the U.S., Kenya, Botswana, Uganda, or Tanzania and meet one of the specified education requirements (medical: MD/MBChB with related master's; nursing: master's in Nursing/Public Health; other public health professionals: PhD in Public Health or related field).
